Nothing updating on live site

    Hi
    I’ve installed the Virtue theme on my WP site but I can’t seem to get anything to work! My intention is to use the site as a shopfront only for downloadable ebooks. I’ve installed woocommerce plugin. I’ve set a static front page (the ‘shop’ page), uploaded a banner and that all works okay.
    Then I added some shop categories for the books with images etc but they do not appear on the live site.
    I’ve gone through all the dashboard pages and can’t find anywhere to sort this problem.
    I added the widgets I wanted to the primary sidebar section and updated but again, not even the sidebar appears on the live site.
    I’ve obviously missed a step which allows the pages and updates to appear.
    Could someone please help?

    I have also tried to view the site in both IE and Firefox, wirh the same result.

  • Hi Liz,

    You will need to create a menu and assign your shop categories to this menu and then select primary menu or secondary menu for you to see them on your site.

    For primary sidebar to show, you will need to select this option on your theme option for it to show on your page.
    Click on theme option – shop setting – on choose a Sidebar for your shop page – select Primary sidebar

    Don’t forget to save changes.
