Notice banner won’t disappear

The banner should only show every 60 days unless you clear the website transients.

Are by any chance using any performance plugin that might be doing this on a regular basis?

Yes, that’s right. I use Permatters and WP-Rocket on a daily basis and they both clean a lot of stuff.

Wouldn’t be better to make the option permanent? Your plugin is the only one that shows on my panel every time. The rest of plugins also show a banner when I install them, but then they respect my decision to click on “Don’t show again” and they don’t show back.

We’re using a 90 days transient (we changed from 60 to 90 on yesterday’s update), which means our banner will show 4 times a year.

No plugin should ever clear non-expired transients.
Transients are a core WordPress functionality used to store data with validity and if any plugin just decides to delete data that is still not expired, you can run into other issues you’re not even aware at the moment.

If you add this to your wp-config.php file you’ll not see our banner again:
define( 'WEBDADOS_PORTUGUESE_POSTCODES_NAG', true );
