Hello, I manually added an administrative user but when I try to approve him I get the message:

    “Super administrators cannot be modified.”

How can I approve this User?

    Hi @michaelwilliamautin,

What version of the Ultimate member you have installed on your site?
Do you have any security plugins active?
Please try to do a conflict test so we can rule out theme/plugin conflicts and see if this issue goes away. Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Regards.

Hi, I already did a clean install on a separate domain to rule out any issues. Please see the video of my testing with “twenty fifteen” and no other plugins active. Video

    Hi @michaelwilliamautin,

I suggest installing the latest 2.0.1 version of the Ultimate member core and see if it solves your issue.
Please check this doc on how to update to the latest 2.0.1 beta.

    Regards.

I’m also experiencing this problem with Ultimate Member 1.3.88 installed on an up-to-date WordPress 4.9.4 installation.

I’ve got Wordfence Security v7.1 installed. However, turning it off temporarily does not work around the problem.

I am hesitant to install beta software on a live site to test this problem.

If you want to work around this in the database, search in the wp_usermeta table for entries with the user’s user_id. Then change the “account_status” value from “awaiting_admin_review” to “approved”. That worked for me.

Hi Larry and Support, sorry for my delayed reply. I can confirm that the problem does not exist with the 2.0 Beta. But as Larry said I would not want to install it on the live site. For now I’ll rather go with die DB solution proposed.
