• Noticing an issue when this plugin is active vs deactivated.

When it’s activated, some of my other plugins appear to be up to date. But when I deactivate PlugVersions, then several of my plugins show up as needing to be updated. (and, I’m able to update them). Not sure why this is happening. I had to set up a staging site in order to test this. But plusing such as Freesoul Deactivate Plugins showed it needed to be updated to v2.1.9 (from 2.1.8), Temporary Login Without Password showed it needed to be updated to v1.8.3 (from 1.8.2), WP Mail SMTP showed it needed to be updated to 3.11.0 (from 3.10.0), and WPvivid Backup Plugin showed it needed to be updated to 0.9.94 (from 0.9.93). When I deactivated PlugVersions, I saw these updates that were needed. But when I activated PlugVersions, the 4 plugins above, showed that they were already at their newest versions of 2.1.9, 1.8.3, 0.9.94 and 3.11.0. Not sure why this is happening. But if I deactivate PlugVersions, I see the plugins need to be updated. If I activate PlugVersions, then I see everything already updated. I’m not sure which is correct, since with PlugVersions deactivated, I AM able to update each of the plugins.

    Can you help?

    Gary

Thank you for reporting this issue.

To avoid this issue I have to make a big change in the structure of the plugin, and I have to do it in a way that all the users who already have the plugin don’t have any issues due to the change. It will require a little time.

Until the new version with the fix is ready I suggest you keep PlugVersions active. If you don’t need it anymore, delete via FTP all the plugin folders with the names that start with pr-…?

Let’s keep this thread open until the fix is available. It may require more than 2 weeks.

    Have a great day!

Thank you as always for your prompt replies and your ongoing support.

If you can remember, after you fix this, please reply back when the issue is fixed so I can test it and ensure that everything works normally.

    Thank you again.

    Sincerely
    Gary
