    On our intranet we have content that is for A) users with level ‘Author’ and B) user with level ‘subscriber’.
    A can see all content, B can only see content that is assigned to them only.

    I can only assign the content AFTER a post has been published. I’m using this plugin: https://www.contextureintl.com/open-source-projects/contexture-page-security-for-wordpress/ and https://ultimatemember.com/

    However, BNFWP sends out the notification immediately after publication to ALL users, which means that the B group might receive notification links that are not accessable to them.

    I hope my issue is clearly described. What would you suggest as a workaround, so that group B doesn’t receive a notification that is not valid dor them?

    Hi @bapakrob,
    Thanks for your message.

    I haven’t come across this before. You may need to switch the content permissions functionality to another plugin. As far as I’m aware, the Members plugin allows you to set the content permissions prior to publishing.

    Ah cool. I will try what that plugin can do.
    If BNFWP can see those difference access levels, can I then make a rule for the notification?

    @bapakrob,
    If won’t work for ‘access levels’ as such, BNFW only works on users and roles but the Content Permissions feature of Members allows you to restrict a post to a particular user role.

    Oh well, maybe i didn’t explain it well…
    The group B is a ‘Role’ that I’ve created in UltimateMember. It’s just that they shouldn’t receive a notification when they don’t have access to that post.

    The plugin that you linked to, Members, is not what I need, because it will always show the title of the post with the message that you can not read the rest of its content.

    I found this BNFWP addon https://betternotificationsforwp.com/downloads/conditional-notifications/

    If i could restrict access prior to publishing (so Group B is not allowed to see it) is this addon useful, where can add a TAG to the post?

    Hi Rob,
    Yes, you could use that add-on providing that you tag or categorise a post when you’re publishing it.

    For reference, you can use the Members add-on but would need to modify the template files for your theme to also hide the title depending on their content permissions.
