Notification bell in the main menu.

Is there any way to add a notification bell with counts in the main menu?
For example: when the user receives a notification, the bell will mark the notification count as 1 entry and it will be easy for the user to know that he has a notification.
I even found out that there is a plugin for this, but if you have this alternative as default, then I wouldn’t need to install another plugin..

2 – By the way: I used Loco Translate and even so I can’t translate this string “added new product” at all, on the activities page!
