I’m redoing this site. My old one had JotForms. When I installed the theme I’m using, WPForms was recommended so I’m trying the Lite version. I’m just about ready to go back to JotForms.

I’ve sent 5 test submissions. None have shown up in email. I changed it from admin default to [email protected]. Nothing. I then added my personal email. Still nothing. Since I don’t get entries unless I upgrade, how am I supposed to know who sends me a question?

This is the ONLY thing keeping me form going live right now. I hope the fix is easy. If not, I’m switching back. I’ve been at this for more than an hour, and it won’t work.

    Ideas?

It is now about 7 minutes since I posted this, and all of a sudden all of my emails showed up – all at once, to both email addresses. If you have any suggestions how I can avoid this happening, I’d appreciate it. I want to feel comfortable that people contacting my organization will be able to get to us.

    Thanks.

    Hi nburgis,

I’m sorry to hear you’re running into an email delivery issue. This usually happens as a result of email providers trying to combat growth in spam, and can result in legitimate emails getting filtered out too.

The fix is to install an SMTP, which will change the way your site’s emails are sent. With an SMTP in place, emails are authenticated so that email providers understand they’re legitimate. Here’s our tutorial on recommended SMTP options, where you’ll also find links to individual tutorials for each option.

I hope that helps! If you give one of these SMTPs a shot and have any questions, please let me know ??

I tried installing the SMTP plugin, and I’m still not getting any notifications.

I’ve given up on WPForms. which is a shame. I was using pirate forms successfully and migrated to WPforms, spent at least an hour trying to make it work.

    Sigh.

It’s pretty, but unfortunately utterly useless if the notifications don’t work.

    Hi sharondavis,

I apologize for the trouble with that!

If you’d like to notification issues, you can check that the WP Mail SMTP settings are configured correctly according to our tutorial on how to set up WP Mail SMTP.

If the configurations are correct, and there are not server issues, you’ll see a success message.

If you see an error message after the test email in WP Mail SMTP, you can check the error message for the recommended next steps. For any questions regarding WP Mail SMTP you can use the you can use the WP Mail SMTP www.ads-software.com support forum where we provide limited complimentary support.

    I hope this helps ??
