About two-three weeks ago, WPForms stopped sending some notification emails to me, but not the submitter. I haven’t manually changed anything on the site that I know of to cause this, but to fix it I tried the SMTP plugin and that stopped delivery of ALL notifications, so I deactivated it.

It used to be that only a few types of email addresses wouldn’t work, namely yahoo addresses, but now it’s even stopping gmail addresses… Anyone else experiencing this?

They’re not going to my spam by the way.

    Hi @nickmclamb1 ,

Thanks for reaching out and I am so sorry to hear about the issue.

As different ISPs and email service providers use different factors as metrics to filter spam or block emails, some email addresses?may receive the notification email, while some do not.

In such cases, the best way that we know to improve email deliverability would be to use an SMTP plugin and configure anyone from the recommended SMTP options here to send authenticated emails

Looking at your point, where emails stopped delivering fully after installing SMTP, it can happen if you’re using the Default/PHP mailer (https://a.supportally.com/lNwJsq).

If I am guessing it right, as noted in the information message in the settings area, using the Default mailer is not advisable since it won’t improve the email deliverability at all especially if your site is hosted on a shared server.

The way to resolve these deliverability issues is to configure WordPress to send authenticated emails by using a reliable SMTP option available. For a quick reference, here are our specific SMTP recommendations.

Could you give one of these SMTP options a shot and let me know if that helps? ??
