My testing suggests users are only notified of an achievement when they return to their profile page, or at least it’s the only way I can get it to notify. Would it not be preferable to see the notification on the page where the activity is actually completed so that users can see the achievement in the moment?

A popup should appear on any page other than those inside the WP-admin area, and when a user goes to their WP profile (e.g. example.com/author/admin/achievements/), the popup should clear.

What’s your site? If I can register an account, we can test this quickly.

Plenty of Achievements already created…(join a group, favourite an update, etc.). Can you try one of these to see if the achievement appears on the page where it’s executed and to see if you can click outside the box to make it go away?

I see no popups, anywhere. Baffling.

I assume your theme has the wp_footer function/action? It looks like it does but nice to confirm.

I can’t detect any page caching, which is good. Are you using object caching or anything releated?

Any chance I can get SSH access to your server to play with some debug code?

This site is hosted on wpengine.com which uses caching and there’s no SSH access. We’ve seen popups for achievements but they almost always show when you go to your profile page. At the moment, however, I can’t see pop-ups of any kind either and I have pretty much all of my plugins turned off to prevent conflicts.

achievementsapp.com is actually on wp engine, too, so later I will activate achievements on it and have a test of things.

Update – I had wpengine enable our CDN feature last night and today achievements are working on the page they are supposed to appear. So by all accounts it seems to be solved. Still not seeing the ability to click off the page which I’ll pick up on another support ticket I have opened with you.
