    HI,

I created a new membership level “Membership Incomplete”. When that member logs in, they are redirected to their profile page where they are required to fill in a couple of fields. When they hit the “Submit” button I’d like one of two things to happen:

1 – When the submit succeeds, an email is sent to the admin to change the level to another level (Single).
2 – Or the preferred option would be when the submit succeeds, change the level to another level (Single).

Can you please suggest how to do this?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

When they hit the “Submit” button I’d like one of two things to happen:

1 – When the submit succeeds, an email is sent to the admin to change the level to another level (Single).
2 – Or the preferred option would be when the submit succeeds, change the level to another level (Single).

Unfortunately both options are currently not available in our plugins settings.

We do have the following option manual-button-to-allow-updating-changing-membership-level. Perhaps this might work for you.

    Kind regards

Thank you for this alternative solution

    Thread Starter Mike8857

    (@mike8857)

    Using the sample shortcode
    [swpm_update_level_to level=”3″ button_text=”Update Level to Silver”]
    that is on
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-miscellaneous-shortcodes-addon/
    results in error
“Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

Other shortcodes update successfully on this same page.
The version of WordPress is version 5.4.2
The version of Simple WordPress Membership is 3.9.9

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, did you make any changes to the entries in the shortcode above?

    Thank you

I tried the sample Shortcode above and I tried this actual shortcode:
    [swpm_update_level_to level=”2″ button_text=”Activate Membership”]

Both had the same result BUT in spite of the error, the button was created and acted correctly.

Hi, but did you make the correct adjustments in the shortcode above? For example: Did you add the correct level number? If you did, can you disable all other plugins except ours, then carry out a test. But before you begin, make sure you enable Debug mode. Let me know what happens.

    Thank you

I’m sorry but the site will going live in a few days and there isn’t the time at the moment. I’m guessing you would like to identify a possible conflict with another plugin by disabling all and then activating one at a time.

I will do this one the dust settles. Sorry.

    No problem, I understand.
