Notification won’t disappear

    Hi,

    I have a yellow notification from Yoast that won’t disappear. I klick hide notification but it just keeps returning. The message from the notification is:

    You can speed up your site and get insight into your internal linking structure by letting us perform a few optimisations to the way SEO data is stored.

    We estimate this could take a long time, due to the size of your site. As an alternative to waiting, you could:

    Wait for a week or so, until Yoast SEO automatically processes most of your content in the background.

    Run the indexation process on your server using WP CLI

    How do I make this message disappear? Thank you.

    We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with our plugin. Can you please confirm whether you have performed the SEO data optimization from the SEO → Tools page? The notice occurs when SEO data optimization hasn’t been performed yet.

    Hi and thank you for the quick reply. From the best of my knowledge, I have not performed it. I have two other sites with Yoast and I can’t ever remember doing it with them either although there I do not get this persistent notification.

    Thanks for your confirmation. In this case, can you please run the SEO data optimization from the SEO → Tools page to see if that resolves the issue for you?

    I just tried and get this:

    Oops, something has gone wrong and we couldn’t complete the optimization of your SEO data. Please click the button again to re-start the process.

    The notification persists.

    Strangely, the message seems to be gone now and the notification too.

    Turns out the issue is still not resolved :/

    After a while the notification came back and it still asks me to run the optimization even though I tried it once and it failed.

    Tried it again and it still gives me the same error:

    Oops, something has gone wrong and we couldn’t complete the optimization of your SEO data. Please click the button again to re-start the process.
