Do you mean that once an author submits their post for review that admin will be notified?

I’m more interested in editors being notified than admins for our setup, but what I’m talking about is that the post status notifications seem only to apply to the user type “contributor.” I’m looking for them to also apply to users who are “authors.”

    Thanks.

We are looking into a new way to extend the plugin so that any individual scenario can be accounted for such as the one you described. The one big constraint is that we originally developed the plugin for the contributor submissions to trigger a notification to admins, and therefore to maintain backwards compatibility for the many hundreds of folks using the plugin currently, we have to think of a clever method to implement without breaking the functionality for other site owners.

This will take us some time, but rest assured, we certainly plan on releasing an update in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, due to many competing priorities with our other free plugins and our premium plugins at – https://99robots.com/products – we cannot promise an exact date.

Thanks for the feedback, and let us know if you have any other suggestions. Cheers.
