Notifications icon not showing new comments

    The notifications icon in the top admin bar (the speech balloon) no longer turns orange to indicate new comments, and the drop-down list of comments no longer shows new comments. The most recent comment appearing in the list is three days old.

    I can’t recall doing or changing anything on my site that might have caused this. It just seemed to change on its own. Furthermore, I experience the same problem when I visit other WordPress sites where the top bar is displayed.

    Is there anything I can do to restore the correct functioning?

    Can you let me know what site you’re having this problem? Once I have that information, I’ll be better able to help. It’s possible your site isn’t connected to our servers properly, so I need your site URL to check that.

    My apologies; it was my fault, not a plugin issue. I have two logins for my site, and apparently I have to be logged in with the one associated with my WordPress.com account to get notifications. I’ve sorted it out now, and thanks for responding.
