Notifications not overriding

    Hello

    I’m using the plugin with following settings: Override topics and replies, send to Administrators only. Yes it has sent notification emails to subscribers and participants as well. As such I have been accused of sending spam (the irony). How can I set it so ONLY admin receives notifications of topics and replies please??

    Hi Yandoos,

    Setting the override simply makes it so that whatever users subscribed to forums and topics (by clicking ‘Subscribe’ the link in a forum or topic screen) receive the notification using the (topic/reply) template you set under Settings > Forums > Email Notification. It can’t be considered SPAM because they opted-in.

    However, if you selected any roles to send per-role notification, then yeah, not everyone opted in and you might get some angry folks.

    To make it so that ONLY Admins receive notifications (the original purpose of this plugin way back then), uncheck the Override and make sure only the Administrators checkbox is selected – under both the topics and replies section.

    Whoever signed up for bbPress core notifications will still receive them, but with the default body.
