Notify author on post publishing

    Just installed the plugin to notify admin on post pending approval – Great!

    But I can not seem to determine if the free public offers the ability to notify the author when their post is published. If it does, can you provide the steps to accomplish this? When I click “notify author” it wants me to specify a author, which won’t work, as the author will change.

    Hi @jason559,
    Thanks for your message.

    I don’t think you need to specify a user as well – I think you just need to tick the author checkbox, as you have done, and then either set an admin (if you want to receive notifications as well) or leave it blank.
