notify users of new posts

  • Hi

    I am new to mingle (coming from buddy press which turns out to be too hard for us). I have a small forum group, the users aren’t likely to login and check the forum every day. They aren’t that computer savvy.

    We also are a seasonal group with little activity over the winter.

    So.. I have had several requests that all forum members be notified of new posts. Is this possible?

  • Mingle already has email notification on replies to topics built in. Also, you can subscribe through the Mingle RSS feed.

    Thanks but not quite what I am looking for.

    I’d like to notify users that someone has created a new topic. These users won’t be able to use an RSS feed.
