November 2008 posts showing up on front page

    Good morning,

    I’ve not experienced the problem yet, but a few of my readers have emailed me to tell me that they are not getting the current posts on my blog and are instead getting posts from November 2008 on the front page. I contacted my Host and they said to tell my readers to clear their caches. They cleared them but are still finding the same problem.

    What is causing this and how do I fix it? Any suggestions? I’m not computer savvy so please make tips easy to understand! LOL

  • There’s nothing wrong with your site’s front page. It is currently showing posts from the last few days.

    Thanks for checking. I’ve not experienced the problem myself, but quite a few readers have. Now my blog is in “maintenance mode” and I’m not sure why! I’m not doing maintenance on it at the moment. What the hell. Between WordPress and my Host I’m ready to scream!

    Deactivate it via ftp by renaming it.

    Okay, thanks Zgani. My Host suggested I update WordPress earlier tonight and it appears that is what is causing the problem. I will do what you suggested. The “Maintenance Mode” page is now gone, but I think deactivating the plugin wouldn’t hurt at this point.
