Novice question about payments

    I am trying to create my first e-shop using woocommerce. I am rather confused about the payment capabilites.

    Basically, I am interested in providing Paypal, Visa and Mastercard payments. I see that there are various third-party gateways. Is this necessary? I mean, do I have to use a third-party company to process the payment? Can’t I just link to the bank the customer desires?

  • You must have a minimum of 1 payment gateways.

    The PayPal gateway can take payments by PayPal or by debit or credit cards. Your customers don’t have to have a PayPal account.

    The BACS gateway can take payments straight into your account.

    You can setup either or both.
