    Hi

It seems that my database has not been updating at the same rate as Woo has.

I’m running Woocommerce 3.7.0 but my database is on 3.4.2

I have tried to update the database in the tools section but this has not worked.

I have this image on my dashboard.

Does anyone know what I should do and why this has stopped updating at the same rate as Woo?

    Thanks
    Chantal

  • Hi Chantal,

So WooCommerce relies on WP Cron which is a system in WordPress to run automated actions on a schedule. There is a link in the right-hand side of the notice in your screenshot. Clicking it should let the database update go forward.

If that doesn’t let you update the database, there is a plugin called WP Control that you can use to work with WP Cron and scheduled actions. You may be able to use it to trigger this update.

Let me know if you still have trouble getting that updated. It’s best to keep the database and WooCommerce version the same otherwise you may run into trouble.

    Take care,

    Hi @3sonsdevelopment

Sorry, I was away for the week.

I’ve activated that plugin but actually it just looks like a foreign language to me.

I have this message at the top of the screen

The DISABLE_WP_CRON constant is set to true. WP-Cron spawning is disabled.

but I don’t know what to do about it.

Thanks again for all your help

    Hey there!

I actually just responded on the other thread you had open about cron issues.

    There’s a few good suggestions here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/automated-follow-up-emails-docs/why-do-my-follow-ups-not-send/

That tells a bit about how to setup wp cron, and make sure it’s firing off.

You might need to get your host involved for some help though, just to let you know.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
