Null for Select

    My select shows up on all the posts but… they all don’t have the same association with that post, so for example a post can be a News item, and one can be a Gallery item… the selects are only for that Gallery item, which is for example, a selectable “Dark” and “Light”. But, the Field Group selections shows on all the posts, I know i could have it so it only shows on Gallery but the client would have to hit publish then select, then update which will be confusing to them… I would like to have the first option be (blank) or NULL instead of the first option isn’t the one selected for all the post. That way I can query the posts for say Dark and only the Gallery is going to be a result. Follow? Is there a way to do this?

    Ok so I am using {empty} after finding that but it shows up on the dropdown as {empty}? There is no value but how can I get it to show up without the “{empty}”?

    If you want your first option to appear as “Select One”, then add it exactly as follows:

    {empty} : Select One

    Thanks, I guess I can do that… I was hoping for a blank but that works.
