Number field type

  • I’m interested in creating a custom field that is a number (representing price) so that the custom posts would ultimately be filterable / sortable by price. It seemed the closest thing was a text field, but I’m not sure how well sorting would work there on a string.

    Am I missing something? Is number field capability planned for development? In the meantime, how might I work around this?
