Number of active installs

  • Hi!
    Please note in plugin info , it shows that number of active installs “less than 10” in case it is less than 20. it should be number of active installs “+10”.
    Please fix.

  • The number of ACTIVE installs depends on how many WordPress sites report that the plugin is activated. I.e. if you see that every release gives 15 downloads, then less than 10 of those sites report the plugin as active.

    The best place to discuss this kind of topic would be in the global Slack team for WordPress contributors, which you can join via https://make.www.ads-software.com/chat/
    And, once there, the relevant channel would be “meta” or “pluginreview”.

    When I’m logged in www.ads-software.com/viewing plugin from wp-admin page it shows 10+ when I’m not logged in it shows “less than 10”.
    Please recheck.

    I don’t have access to that kind of details. But I do know that some very heavy caching can explain this kind of discrepancies around www.ads-software.com. Or it may be possible that these are slightly different metrics. If you want to dig deeper, then the “meta” channel on Slack would be the best place to ask.
