Number of current listeners widget?

  • Hi Steve, I want to follow up on one of my previous posts where I was asking if it would be possible to create a Number of Current (or Concurrent) Listeners widget? SAM knows how many people are listening – is it possible to pass this information on to a widget so we can display the number of people listening?

    This would be an awesome addition, in my opinion!

    Actually, that would probably be a very effective way to grab the number of current listeners. The “history” database table stores the number of listeners at the time each song starts. Since this is actually where the information for the currently playing song is retrieved, I could grab the number of listeners at the same time. Good idea. ??

    I’m glad you like my idea! Is it a programming nightmare or is it a fairly simple widget to create? I know nothing about programming.
