Number of image columns for responsive

Hello,
can you please help me to setup the responsive layout of gallery? I am not able to see gallery in correct design in mobile and tablet. I have settings “Number of image columns” added “3” but it is taking 3 in mobile and tablet and not showing the gallery in correct design. it should display 1 or 2 in each row for mobile and tablet respectively. guide me how to do so
