Sorry @donsenilo1968 , could you tell us more about what types of postings you mean? Do you mean running a recipe or action a certain number of times only? If it is the latter, the controls on the right side of the edit recipe page, like “Total times” (which limits how many times a recipe will run) might be useful for controlling things.

When I write 5 articles, I just want only one to get published via Automator.

Thanks. Which one of the 5 should be published?

The easiest option is probably to use our “A user publishes a post in a taxonomy” trigger (it’s in the free version) and add a tag or something to the post to identify which posts should run the recipe. Maybe for posts that you want shared on social media you add a “social” tag, and using that as a trigger, it runs the share actions for the new post, but then the recipe doesn’t fire on posts that don’t have the tag.

    Ok, I understand.

It doesn’t matter which one (maybe the latest). The reason for this is, that especially Instagram sees it as “threat” when several posts are coming in within a second or so. And then the profile get locked (happened to me 2 times).

We’ll go ahead and close this for now, as there is the workaround above, but we understand the context now, thanks.

In upcoming versions we will start to add more support around limiting, which would help to make sure that nothing Automator does would trigger flags in third party apps.
