• Hello!
There seems to be a bug with the new “Allow Opt-out” feature. With the option active, an apparent random number gets put out on the frontend pages, just after the footer and in most cases a ’41’ or ‘581’. But it differs from site to site and theme. I can’t retrace where or why this output is made.

And regarding the opt-out option: Is there a way to use the ‘?wp_statistics_opt_out=0’ without your “.wp-statistics-opt-out” banner? In most cases I’m already using a banner as cookie notice and I want to include the opt out link, just not the Report-Text and the extra banner. At the moment I hide the banner with CSS and use the link on the privacy policy pages.

I appreciate your time and help. It’s a great plugin!
    Thanks

  • Same issue here, it was 497, now it’s 532.

Yes, seems like the Opt-out banner destroys the CSS of the theme or something. It looks horrible anyway and collides with my cookie consent banner. You want to do it right? Give full options for the data privacy opt-out banner. CSS for buttons, background, colors and option where it is placed. I will uninstall WP statistic because as it is now it can not be used because it looks very bad. In ten days my site needs to be ready for the new law. This all is such a mess.
