This is a kind of estrange issue.
I configure a pair of product attributes. They are handled, in WPUF form, as product fields of type select lists. The estrange thing is that the lists are populeted with new values; numbers like 66, 61 (which by the way correspond to attributes id) suddenly appear added to the lists. ?Who insert those numbers there?

What I have done is going do dashboard–>Product–>Attributes–>Configure Terms, and detelete them. But, after a while, after uploading new products, numbers could appear again added to the beginning of the lists of terms.

    Thanks for any help: René.

What is worse, once these numbers appear into your list, it doesn’t matter what attribute value you choose, they are not saved when creating or updating products, only the number in the top of the list is saved to data base.

    Hello @rene-rene,

What is the post status in the product form settings? Please let me know the details.

    Thanks

In the product form settings: Post Type = Published, Saving as Draft enabled.

I set up a hook which allow me to show the SUBMIT button only to admin and “Editors” while user with other roles only see “Save Draft” link. That has been working fine.

Please note that the appearance of spurious numbers in the lists of attribute terms does not always happen but occasionally, I have not been able to detect under what circumstances.

Today we noticed that numbers get added to the attribute terms when we “Save draft”, not when Published directly (using submit button).

Here is a screen shot showing the polluted attributes.

Those numbers, “60” in attribute “País”, and “20”, “72” in attribute “Sector” appeared into the list of terms when publishing posts we have previously saved as drafts.

Those numbers correspond to term IDs (of the underlined terms). It seems IDs are being saved instead of term names.

I hope this help in clarifying my previous inquire.

    Greetings: René.

    Hello @rene-rene,

WP User Frontend had this similar issue which has been fixed in the last update. However, if the issue still exists on your site then please create a support ticket here. I will be happy to help you.

Thanks very much for your answer.

I was waiting to update to 2.5.4 because I saw some traffic in the forum about issues with the new version. Today I tried to update, but after introducing the Elegant Themes API Key (which was requested) I got the following message:
“There is a new version of WP User Frontend available. View version 2.5.4 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin“. If I go to “details” a blank window open.

I understand that I don’t need to introduce the WPUF plugin license key yet because I am developing in a provisional site. And also because what I am trying to update is the basic version not the pro.

How should I proceed? I don’t want to lose my designed forms and configuration.

    Hello @rene-rene,

You can update the free version automatically from wp-admin plugins section. However, to update the professional version you have to download that plugin from your weDevs account and install it again to your site.

Note: please don’t create any topic related to the professional version in this forum, it’s not allowed here.

    Thanks

I appreciate your quick answer, but I have to say that I don’t believe you addressed my questions. You wrote: “You can update the free version automatically from wp-admin plugins section”… But the problem I posed is that I can not. I’m receiving the message “Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin”. Please see attached screenshot.

    Thanks.

    Hello @rene-rene,

If you are having a problem with the automatic update then update the plugins manually. You can follow the instructions given here.

    1. Deactivate and delete existing WP User Frontend (both free & pro) plugins from your site.

    2. Download the latest version (2.5.4) of pro plugin from your weDevs account.

    3. Install & activate it

    4. Now it will prompt you to install the free version of WP User Frontend plugin. Install & activate it.

HOpe it will work for you.
