Numbers not showing correctly

  • Hi,

    this is a list of available books in a publisher’s site. The ISBN numbers were added in the first columns (format being this 9789523450691). They have been alright earlier but I just noticed that they were all turned into this: 9,78952E+12. I suppose there is no way to fix this anymore but what is causing this so that I don’t make the same mistake again?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    My guess is that you imported this from an Excel file (in .xlsx format), but that the data type there was not “text”. You could try saving the Excel file to the CSV format (as a .csv file) and import that into TablePress.
