Numerous problems with Easy Recipe Plus

    I installed Easy Recipe Plus on a site I designed for someone and have received emails from her daily about recipe formatting buttons not working, photo uploader not working and most recently, the formatted recipes disappearing all together.

    Here’s another issue – I added a photo to the WordPress portion. When I did that, it automatically populated the photo portion of the recipe format, but then the RECIPE DISAPPEARED! This is ridiculous. Please let me know if there is another program we can sub out.

    Those links don’t work again. I don’t know what the issue is. Can’t upload a photo. It worked for one day.

    Sorry to keep writing – I can’t get the recipe to show up AT ALL now. All that shows up is #ingredients# and #instructions#, even after I got rid of the photo in the WordPress part. And then I deleted the recipe and reentered it without the photo, and it still doesn’t show up. I am now going to add the recipe straight to WordPress and skip this recipe format all together. It just isn’t working.

    Can you please tell me if there are incompatibilities with WP 3.5 or what could be causing all these problems. I have a very unhappy client and need to find a solution for her ASAP.

  • Have you downloaded the most up to date version? Most of the issues with WP 3.5 seem to have been resolved.

    Looks like there was another update. I will have the user work with the recipe formatting and see if her issues remain.

    If you have the latest version and still have problems, open a support ticket at https://www.easyrecipeplugin.com/support/ and we’ll sort it out for you.

    We had one bad update recently (the wrong directory got uploaded to the WordPress repository) but as Emily said, the issues that that created have been resolved in the latest update.

    Thank you Jayce. I’ll see if it’s working better for her now.

    Is Easy Recipe Plus made by the same person who made Easy Recipe? I can’t find a page for Easy Recipe Plus on WordPress and want to make sure it hasn’t been “spoofed” before installing it.

    P.S. I installed Yumprint’s recipe card and then read the usage terms that they can use my recipe wherever they want. It made me nervous and now I want to go with a reputable premium service so I don’t have to worry who is using my recipes and for what.

    EasyRecipe Plus is hosted at https://www.easyrecipeplugin.com and is indeed from the same people who wrote the free EasyRecipe (me!) ??

    I got Easy Recipe Plus, downloaded it to my computer and unzipped it in winzip. When I go to install it in my plugins as new I deactivated it but not delete), in upload it tells me to pick the file, but those files take me to my photos. Advice please? I run IPad Mini on IOS7.
