    Hi @tomgoldberg
    Wait for approval.

    You will never get an approval unless you buy Meetup Pro level membership. This plugin no longer works without it. Too bad. It was great while it lasted.

    Hello @designwise,

    The plugin works fine but Meetup.com has made it Pro level membership for Oauth ID. For Old customers its stil working fine.

    So, that means the plugin may now be declared officially obsolete.

    @designwise,

    What is the role of a plugin? It imports events from meetup into WordPress using Meetup API which is still valid and works. Earlier Meetup API was freely available now they have made it paid. It doesn’t affect the ability of plugin.

    Earlier lots of users were using it as it was free now only people who can pay will use it. Changes are from Meetup.com not from a plugin.

    Many API has moved from free to a paid model and it keeps working fine. Example Google Map API.

    Would it be possible to update the plugin (or create a new one) based on the RSS feed?

    Hi @devcybiko,

    Can we get RSS from the Meetup group? You can get RSS data into WordPress post and also plugin can be developed but we are not planning to do so yet as plugin is working fine but Meetup has made API pro. We are watching the situation closely let’s see if they rethink it. Also, some customers are going ahead with the meetup pro version too.

    Plugin is working great for me. Conversion to Oauth2 was free since its announcement in June until 8/15. Apparently a lot of API users ignored the notifications until it was too late. I have 9 Consumers. Maybe I can charge for my other 8 Consumers? ??

    Meetup charges $9.99 per month to have a up to three groups. Typically, users only need one group. The Meetup Pro membership is for corporate users and allows unlimited groups for $29.99 per month. Since most people cannot afford, nor do they need that level, your plugin is no longer useful unless you fix it.

    Hi @designwise,

    What things do you like us to fix in plug-in? Payment things is done by Meetup not us. We are not associated with Meetup.com

    @collabora, Yes many users have already created Oauth2 for free and using a plugin.

    @designwise

    Meetup charges me 16.49 per month (in USA) for up to 3 groups. The Pro rate is $30.00 per group for unlimited groups; so if you have 3 Pro groups that is $90/mo.

    I wonder if you can take advantage of the free meetup pro trial, get the API use, and then go back to meetup basic…
