  • Here’s what I did (but I’m still having issues getting this plugin to work right now even with the API key put into my shortcut code).

    Go to: https://console.developers.google.com

    Under “Select a project” click on “Create a project” then give it a name and select it under the drop down.

    On the left menu, click on APIs & auth -> Credentials -> Create new Key (under Public API access) -> Browser key -> Leave the referrers part blank, then click Create. You should now have an API key.

    Hope this helps and works for you. I wish I could get it working properly.

    My API started working for me after I followed instructions above for:
    https://console.developers.google.com

    And then in google console went to APIs >> YouTubeDataAPI >>> And then enabled/turned it on.
