• I’ve been using this plugin for years and really liked it. Suddenly this huge ad banner appears on my dashboard, and even clicking the “x” to dismiss it doesn’t work! I’ve disabled the plugin, and will check it occasionally to see if this gets fixed. If not, I’ll delete the plugin permanently. It’s not worth having something that insists on being a huge “leader” on your dashboard.

Edit: see further review comments on this posting.

  • Unfortunately @elsieblogger I have to agree with you. I have used this plugin for several years and had never had an issue. Now they implemented an advertising with a huge box that is not dismissible! They have also deleted all the support comments in the thread related to this issue. Disappointed. To the devs: Don’t invade my dashboard with ads, specially some that aren’t dismissible.

Hello @elsieblogger, our apologies for the inconvenience caused by the code error in the 3.0.8.3 update. We have released version 3.0.8.4, where you can dismiss the advert. Please let us know how it goes!

Also in the future, if you have any specific needs or notice an error, please submit it in the support forum so we can address it. We appreciate your consideration and help as we work to provide this plugin free for users.

The plugin author has updated their code as stated above. I updated and it now dismisses the advertisement as it should. I’m going to upgrade my review to 3 stars for a short time to see how it goes, and if the ads don’t “bombard” me, I’ll again return my review to 5 stars. I really do like this plugin, and hope that all is permanently well. For the record though, NO plugin should place an ad on your dashboard. If they want an ad, it should be on the plugin’s dashboard.
