Occasionally form displays, “This form was unable to submit?”

    Hi,

    We’ve had the form installed for just over a month now and this has happened across a couple of weeks.

    We receive feedback that the form on the website isn’t working. When people try to submit a response it says ‘This form was unable to submit. Please contact site administrator”.

    Then at the earliest availablity (usually a couple of days later) I go to look at see what’s happening and it’s all working as normal?

    Please can you help us solve this mystery?

    Thanks for writing in and we’re sorry to hear about the trouble you’re facing.

    I checked your site and it looks like you have a caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache) installed and activated on the site. We’ve seen cases where the minify and combine script feature of caching plugins causes WPForms script to break which results in issues like you’re getting right now.

    When you get the chance can you please try the following?

    1. Disable Minify JS under the Settings tab, OR
    2. Disable Combine JS under the Settings tab, OR?
    3. Exclude WPForms’ assets from JS optimization by Exclude JS > Add New Rule from the Exclude tab, OR the file /wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/assets/js/wpforms.js
    4. Exclude pages that have forms embedded from being optimized or cached by Exclude Pages > Add New Rule from the Exclude tab

    Kindly make sure to clear your site’s cache after doing any of the changes above.
