Ocean Extra and WordPress Customise Fatal Error

    I can not access the customise option when ocean extra is activated, it gives me a fatal error. When I disable it I can access the customise options.

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function ow_esc_attr()

    Would you be so kind and go to Dashboard > OceanWP > OceanWP Panel > System Info and share the report with us so that we can take a look?

    Most probably the plugin was updated before the OceanWP theme. The function mentioned in the error message is part of the OceanWP theme code, and there are no safety checks in place so that the fatal error occurs if the theme is too old and thus does not yet have that function.

    I had the same issue. Backup site. Activate WP default theme. Delete OceanWP theme. Reinstall OceanWP theme. Reactivate OceanWP theme and child theme. Issue resolved.
