• Our website crashed overnight (badly broken layout), due to a fatal error in the Ocean Extra plugin.

The on-screen error was the typical “There has been a critical error…” message, plus “Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function oceanwp_theme_icons() in (path…).”

WordPress debugging provided no additional info.

I tried re-installing the plugin, but the error returned. Without the plugin, we are missing our social media widgets.

How can we get this plugin up and running again?

    Hello,

Please update the theme and plugin to the latest version and navigate to Customize > General Options > Theme Icons and select Font Awesome, then publish changes.

After that, go to Theme Panel > Scripts and Styles, make sure to enable all the files and click on the same button a couple of times, and check.

If you still experiencing the issue, please share the snapshot of the error, and go to Elementor > System Info and share the report with us so that we can take a look.

I was able to save the Font Icons, and that seemed to solve the issue for us.

I’m not sure where to find “Theme Panel > Scripts and Styles,” so if the issue resurfaces I may need to come back and ask for more specific instructions.

For now, all is good. Thank you for your help!
