Ocean wp gallery images not lining up

I’m using the Ocean wp theme but am having trouble with the images in the gallery lining up correctly. When I have the images set to the thumbnail size they display correctly in a cropped grid. However, I’d like the images to be larger, either the medium large size or the large size and still be cropped but they are not cropping and show up at different heights.

I tried regenerating thumbnails and it didn’t help. I also tried clearing the cache and refreshing. Also tried turning off all the plug-ins expect Elementor and changing the template away from Ocean WP then back. That did not help either.

Is there a way to constrain the height of the images in the gallery? Or a way to fix the issue and allow the cropped images to show?
