• I am using OceanWP.

I am using WP Live Chat by 3CX on my site but the space key does not work because of which the entire text forms one string of letters with no spaces between words. Please type in some text and see for yourself.

I posted my problem in the WP Live chat forum and their answer is below. Can OceanWP support help?

we check your issue and we found that yours website theme handles the key up event and stops any further handlers ( probably there is some prevent defaults call in a js key up event).

    thanks

  • Hi,

Try to disable all the nonocean plugin and check if it is working or not. If yes, enable the one by one plugin, and refresh the page after enabling each plugin, to check the conflict issue.
Go to the theme panel > scripts & styles and click on the save button a couple of times to update the file and check if it works.

Also, try to switch the theme to default like twentytwenty and check if it functions with that or not.

    disable the js file

    name: “SmoothScroll”
description: “This script adds a smooth scrolling to the browser.”

    Solution 1

Step 1: log in to your WordPress admin panel (make sure active theme is oceanWP)
Step 2: on your left navigate to the theme panel.
Step 3: Select Scripts and styles.
Step 4: locate SmoothScroll and click the toggle off to disable it.
Step 5: Scroll down and click Save Settings. Done!

NOTE: this will work only if you are using OceanWP with WP-Live chat 3CX, it worked for all the sites I was working on.

if this does not work try the second solution

    Solution 2

Step 1- 3 remain the same as Solution 1
Step 4: locate this option normally should be the first option you see “Switch to check or un-check every scripts: (toggle position)”
Step 5: go and load your website and check is the spacebar is working
Step 6: go back to your Scripts and Styles and enable one of the Js files and save settings. repeat Steps 5 and 6 until you find which script is affecting your plugin.

NOTE: I suggest you use multiple tabs for this to make your work easier.

    hope this helps.
