  • The OWP Portfolio works fine with Elementor and Elementor PRO (themer) no need to edit anything.

    I wish that were so. When I select edit with Elementer I get: Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call ‘the_content function’ in the current template in order for Elementor to work on this page. Then there is the link above to learn more.

    Hi,

    I found this topic and below last post has a solution, that might help solve yours:

    Did you, by any chance, add an ssl to your site recently too?

    Thank you for answering. I had seen this before and just thought the guy has the same error message but for a different problem. I’m not getting any 404’s and everything works fine, except I can’t use Elementor on the Portfolio page. SSL was already installed previously.

    LOGO, from reading a few of your posts, it seems adding SSL to an existing website can affect a few areas of Elementor. Do you suggest any specific Elementor/SSL articles?

    @les,

    Not really, switching from http to https can get tricky in general, notjust in relation to Elementor. But if one is well prepaired and folows the neccesary steps all should go well.

    In Elementor docs is this item specifically related to this:

    @ap2art,

    I am not sure about this, but could it be the portfolio page is considered a custom post type and therefore can not be edited by Elementor, just like we can not edit the default blog page eather with Elementor?

    I do not use the portfolio extension, so zero experience with it, but does that not have its own style?

    @logologics. Thanks. I saw this article too and you’re right. I’ve accepted I cannot edit the OceanWP portfolio template in Elementor.

    Well I figured it out myself lol. I created a Portfolio shortcode in OceanWP and selected the Default template in OceanWP to enable me to use Elementor … and voila!!!

    OH, that is creative thinking haha!
    Need to remember this if I ever see the need to use the portfolio extention myself.

    I played around with it some time ago, and honestly could not see the advantage over just using an image element instead?

    I mean we can add a link to that image too and add discription below it, so I wonder what made you decide to use this, I might be missing something here?
