Odd? an https site can NOT be used?

have used this plugin on other sites…no problem.
but I now have a https site, and when the plugin attempts to capture the URL to a blog post-it misses that “s” – so everytime, the resulting post on a soc media board says that it can’t show the post…and the URL given does NOT have that “s” in same…
howcome? how can I get this fixed?
