    I’ve got a weird problem.

When I try to access my site’s login page, I’m redirected to the home page before I can attempt to log in. If I use my site’s custom login page, I can successfully log in and the admin bar is visible, but attempting to access the admin panel logs me out and redirects me to the home page.

I know it’s iThemes Security doing it because moving the iThemes Security folder out of the plugins folder fixes the issue.

I’ve checked the itsec_lockouts table and it is completely empty, so I know it’s not a lockout.

Any help would be very much appreciated! I get pounded fairly often with automated login scripts so iThemes Security helps me sleep better at night.

    Hey Narthur,

It sounds like Away Mode is active. Navigate to wp-content > uploads > ithemes-security via FTP and delete the itsec_away.confg file.

    Thanks,

    That indeed fixed the issue.

I also went in and disabled it in Security’s settings. I’d like to turn away mode back on, but it’s not reading my timezone correctly. I have my timezone set in general settings to Chicago, making it a bit after 1pm. Security, however, is still showing the time as a bit after 7am. How can I resolve this discrepancy?

    Hey Narthur,

That sounds like there’s a conflict somewhere.

Try deactivating all other plugins and see if that helps. If it does help, then reactivate them one at a time until you find the offending plugin(s), if any.

If that doesn’t help try switching to a WordPress default like Twenty Fourteen to rule out a theme conflict.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
