Odd Pingback going on

I made a post (https://www.brianathomas.com/archives/2005/04/29/get-in-shape/) and then in a later post (https://www.brianathomas.com/archives/2005/05/03/exercise-ball-confusion/). So it makes an automatic pingback (trackback?) to original post, which is fine and expected.
The problem is that rather then have the text of the post, what it first displays is the text of the link to the previous story, then the title of the post and then the start of the expected text. I am fine with it including the Title of the post as part of the comment, but it shouldn’t say “?? The Daily Word update” which is the text of the link to the previous story… see the Get in shape post (https://www.brianathomas.com/archives/2005/04/29/get-in-shape/) to see what I mean. It’s hard to describe.
I am 90% sure those posts were made before the upgrade to 1.5, so it was likely 1.2.
Short of manually editing the posts, is there a way to fix it?
Under 1.5.1.3 it has another problem. The text of the comment is the title of the blog, and the description, then the title of the post. See: https://www.brianathomas.com/archives/2005/08/05/why-arrays/ for an example.
