• I have used WordPress for a week now and I am really delighted! On the downsite I have just discovered a really odd problem. If you look at my site at https://www.frantzell.org/wp you will see that if you click on the URL link in the most recent posting it is “dead”, i.e. you can’t get to that website. Here is the source:
Dan Gilmor har en bra blog
Now, if I post another blog entry so that this post no longer appears at the top of my posts, the link becomes active. This is true for both IE and Firefox. I have tested this several times by adding a new post with one or more links in it and the result is always the same, the links in the previous post suddenly become clickable. Any tips for how I can troubleshoot and fix this? Where in the template should I be looking if that is where the problem is?

but looking at that thread, it remains unanswered / resolved ….

OK, in what file do I start my debugging? The only two things I have recently changed is the wp-layout.css and the template. Does the template correspond to a file? It seems to be the first half of the index.php file(?)
Is the first post treated differently from the others in any way?

The bug is definitely in the wp-layout.css. I am not yet sure where.

Validation has a few issues, but I can’t see how any CSS can have a tag stripping effect. CSS is looked at and interpreted by the browser – the wp ‘engine’ couldn’t care less about the css – the two have no involvement at all until your browser hits your page.
The error will be somewhere in a wp file, but as to where …..
Can you post your index.php as index.phps in your webspace somewhere ? (Not here – it will be impossible to read properly).

It looks fine to me. If you want to come on #wordpress and work this out, that’s fine by me
    I’m “Fargon” on there.
