Got email trying to sell me this, warned of major Brute Force attack coming. Sure enough next day a full attack just as they warned. Hmmm…..

Nothing really affected as in middle of night. Avoid!!

  • Hi,

During these times it’s very important to invest in website security, because cyber attacks are on the rise!

That is information to help you out. You can buy any solution out there, but it’s important for customers and users to know what’s going on in the world right now!

We have over a Million USD in ARR, as a company, so I can assure you that we don’t have time to waste on such trivial matters. PLUS: why would we waste time attacking our users, only to then waste money because some of them wouldn’t know how to cope with this and would close down their sites? In what world would that help us?

Two of our sites have also been heavily attacked through DDOS on Sunday and Monday. Did we also cause that to our OWN websites?

    What do you think?

    Hi @robrashmuncom,

That is an odd coincidence, however, we never made any Brute Force attacks on our users or anybody else and never will, as our plugin’s purpose is to stop this kind of attacks and strengthen the security of your website.

Because we believe an attack will come doesn’t mean we are the ones who are making it, just trying to give a hand and try to prevent it from being successful.

Also, we are glad to hear that nothing was affected on your side.

Lately, as it’s seen in the whole world, cybernetic attacks are more and more often and in larger numbers so having a plugin such as Hide My WP Ghost to have your back is a tremendous help.

What we can suggest is to make sure that your passwords are secure, customize the WP login path (this can be achieved with Hide My WP Ghost), have another security plugin such as Wordfence for viruses besides our plugin, and lastly get a backup plugin.

If you have any questions you can contact us at [email protected]

    Stay safe!

Never had attack on that site before, never had an unknown security plugin warn me of impending doom before. Then said attack happens right away as warned, to 1 of 35 websites, the one you warned me was coming to that site only.

Yet you took the time to scan my site, tried to sell us security app by email telling me that site was vulnerable. Its being reported to feds
