oEmbed feature does work, all i get is the URL

  • Currently, the oEmbed feature does work, all i get is the URL — not the video. And, i cant find the Embed Media POST Button as an alternative and for resizing.

    Working on my website using the Portfolio Press theme: https://www.creative-photographics.com

    Due to my lack of WP knowledge, I’m having a hard time getting all features to work right for me. As a reference, i have “Using WordPress” by Triss Hussey. I think it is based on a 2.9 version of WP. So that might be part of the problem.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Yeah, did all that 1st, before post. Still the same problem.

    What exactly are you doing when you try to embed these videos? Are they YouTube videos?

    Okay, part of the problem is solved. I was not removing the hyperlink, now the video works, and i assume other media will also.

    However, i still cant resize the video in the post. I think earlier versions had an Embed Media Button in the POST editor that allowed you to resize embedded media. I do not see it in Version 3.3.2. So how do u resize embedded media in a post?
