oembed plus video not playing in Elegant Themes Divi

After installing oembed plus, I sought to link a Facebook video URL https://www.facebook.com/coudelaria.ilhaverde/videos/857733314293592

The video “frame” shows, but no video is there, nor does it play. The error message says that Facebook.com refused to connect.
