Offer Button Disappeared

Another customer just called, wondering why he can’t find the “Make an Offer” Button. This is NOT GOOD. Please help!

Ok. I think it may have something to do with the “Bulk Edit Tool for Products”. I can enable the button for a specific item (in full edit mode) and it will show up. When I attempt to update our settings using the “Bulk Edit Tool for Products” it says, “Action completed; 0 records processed.” no matter what action or target I select.

…but we have 3,000 products in our inventory and cannot possible enable the button for each item…and our Cyber Week promo is site-wide. If the button is enabled in the quick-edit, it doesn’t work. It must be enabled in full edit mode.

When I first installed this plugin, I used the Bulk Edit Tools and they worked perfectly fine…both of them. (Bulk Edit Tool for Products and Bulk Edit Tool for Automatically Accepting or Declining Offers).

We are dead in the water right now as far as our Cyber Week Promo…which is supposed to be our busiest week of the year.

I have not had any other reports of the bulk edit tool not working, and I am not able to reproduce any problems with it now. It seems to be working as expected.

Have you installed any new plugins lately, by chance? Maybe something else is conflicting somehow and disabling anything else new could get the offers working again.

What it sounds like it boils down is that somehow the offers were disabled on all of your products. Why it wouldn’t be allowing you re-enable them using the bulk tool, I’m not sure.

If you want to provide temporary login credentials for me to take a closer look I can certainly see if I find anything. You can submit a ticket here (which is private) and include those details.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will do this when the promotion is complete. We can’t afford any downtime. I found a work-around by batch updating the products, 150 at a time and was able to get the button back on all necessary products.

Make offer button is not showing up for affiliate/external product type, I guess its disabled for this page whereas its showing up correctly for single product pages.

Could you please tell me how to enable this on affiliate/external product type pages?

Well, we deliberately hid the offer button for those types of products because those types of products would send you away from the site to purchase from a 3rd party.

I guess you have a scenario where you’d rather still provide the offer button even for external products..??
