I am building an app for the medical industry, and I am hoping to offer WordPress inside the app.

What I mean by offering is offer them WP within the app to create a blog of their own which will be installed and hosted on our server and they will get a CMS to create a blog as a marketing medium.

Is this doable? Will this mean I have to use GPL licensing or is it downright illegal to use WP this way.

Why not offer them login credentials to create a blog post on one already-set-up WordPress installation?

Problem is we want them have an integrated experience, so they need not feel it’s a separate section of the app. They can just use WP within the whole marketing suite(many other tools) we are offering with a single login.

I don’t think you can achieve this because in the end you’d still have to upload each app’s WordPress installation onto the Web somewhere.

I believe we can do that using a dedicated server for the blogs, I’m more concerned about the legal aspect.

You can distribute WordPress any way you want

Thanks a lot Andrew. Much appreciated. Was concerned on that part.
