    Hello friends

Dear friends, the problem with our site is that when you add a product to the cart and go to the cart page, if you want to return to the product page, you will see a white page that says “check your connection”.
You have to click twice to go to the product page.
The support of the template says that this problem comes from WooCommerce itself and it happens when there is no Ajax.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
    Thank you for your guidance.

  • Hey there, @sahand1377! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I tried checking the error on your website, but I got “this page cannot be reached”.

Are you able to access the site at the moment?

Can you also please share some more information so we can try to replicate the issue on our end?

What are the exact steps you take that trigger the issue?
Do you add the product to the cart from the shop or product page?
Do you go back to the product page by clicking on the product on the cart or hitting the back button on the browser?

Please share a screenshot of what you see on WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Add To Cart behaviour
I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

If you are still able to access the site, please trigger the issue on your end check the errors on the browser console.
You can do this by following the steps below:

    • On the page where you see the error click with the right mouse button and select the “inspect” option
    • It will open a window on the browser, check the tabs on the top and click on Console
    • Please take screenshots of the errors showing there (if any) and share with us

    Hi there

    Thank you for your response

The site is online but the reason you can’t rach the site is because of hosting provider compony. They block non iranian IP’s because of attackers.

Anyway. I provide you any info you need

    problem path:

First you add a product to your cart from product page. then a button apears above named “view cart”. You click on it and go to car page. At this point when you click on the back button on the browser to back to product page but you see a white page and the text “check your connenction”. And when you hover the mouse on the tab of page above the browser it writes “offline page”. then when you click on the back button for the second time it goes to product page.

Screenshot of the add to cart behaviour: https://snipboard.io/7A1fUb.jpg

The screenshot of inspect Console tab: https://snipboard.io/4TgmpP.jpg

Also tamplate support mentiond to this site and said the same problem exists in here. If you follow the path above you see a problem like that in there. It looks like the same but the the text is different and there is no error in Console tab.

    Hello sahand,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand the issue you are facing.
The problem is that when we click on the Add to Cart button, at the backend a form is submitted with the product data. This is why the page refreshes.

Now we are on the page where form data is submitted.
Then you click on the View Cart button and go to the Cart page.
At this point, when we click the back button, the browser only loads the URL but the form data is missing.
This is why you are seeing this message:

You could activate the Ajax to bypass this problem.
Or use a theme that uses Ajax for adding products to the cart.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have more questions or concerns.
We are here to help ??

    Best regards.

    Hello Zubair @doublezed2

Thank you for your kind response.

If you have a look at this screenshot you can see that i enabeled this checkbox on my site but it looks like it doesn’t work.

Screenshot of the add to cart behaviour: https://snipboard.io/7A1fUb.jpg

    And about the theme.

Is it too much to ask the theme support to make this work by making some changes in theme to add the product with AJAX?

because he says this is not his bussines and shoud be solved by woocomerce team itself.

    Hi @sahand1377,

Thank you for sharing further details.

While you’ve already shared a screenshot that the option to enable Ajax, this should work correctly for you, however, as it is not currently working, I would recommend trying a default theme. This will be able to prove that the issue is only related to the custom theme you’re using.

You can try the same steps you’ve described on the issue you are facing, but this time try them with a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Four or Storefront then reach out to the theme support and inform them of you’re findings.

Let us know how this goes.

    Hi @ckadenge

Actually i have tried the solution you said with Hello Elementor and Twenty Twenty-Four themes but the result was the same.

I was wodering can this problem be related to hosting provider?

I launched another wordpress site in a subfolder and i only installed the woocomerce and the site default theme was 2024. But the problem still remains.

    Hello sahand,

    Thank you for your reply.

To clarify, this problem is related to the theme.
It is the theme that handles how the “Add to cart” button is created and whether the Ajax will be used or not.

Another way to enable Ajax is by using a plugin like WPC AJAX Add to Cart for WooCommerce.
There are a few more plugins like this that provide Ajax feature.
Please note that this is a 3rd party plugin and we do not provide support for it.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have more questions or concerns.
