often payments stay pending and get not completed automatically

This is often caused by a lack of the proper webhook set in your Stripe account. You’ll need to setup your webhooks in order for your donations to be updated to complete when Stripe completes them. That is a necessary step that Stripe has mandated in their latest versions. If the webhook is correctly configured, you should see a record in the logs at Donations > Tools > Logs > Stripe for every event at Stripe (going forward).

If you’re seeing pending donations in GiveWP through PayPal, but have actually received the funds, that is most likely an IPN issue. You’re going to need to confirm that your PayPal account has the right IPN set for your website. It’s a similar setup and relationship as the Stripe webhook.
