Ran through FB Debugger – error message:

Share App ID Missing The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

I’d put in my FB app ID, then another error would pop up.

    How do I resolve this?

Also, though I set featured image for all posts/pages, they won’t show even when accessed at their own direct URL – I even tried uploading images using a FB Open Graph plugin with the same thing happening.

The app_id warning message appears if you have not specified a Facebook app ID for your site. This does not interfere with the ability to share posts on Facebook.

Please provide links to a few pages on your site that are not working.

I expected to see some unusual tag output or even duplicate tag output but that is not the case on your site.

Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Sixteen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or theme.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts

Deactivated all plugins except Yoast SEO & switched to a standard theme. Issue persisted. Kindly assist again. Thanks

As the app_id error no longer shows up in the Facebook debugger, this topic will be marked as resolved.

The image not showing up is a different issue and you’ve opened a topic here.
